Elderly man Master Nau, 90, fulfilled his lifelong goal of flying in an aeroplane. Helpers gingerly carried the tiny, wrinkled man onto a Yeti Airlines from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu. The flight lasted 30 minutes, but for Master, it was a dream come true.
Born in an under privileged family in Rupandehi District, 90 year old Master never thought one day his long cherished dream of flying in a plane would be fulfilled.
‘Majja Ayo, Majja Ayo’, I enjoyed, I enjoyed), Nau said as he flashed a smile for the cameras who greeted him at the airport.
In Kathmandu, Master will visit the mosque, Narayan hiti Palace, Singhadurbar and Budhanilkantha. The itinerary has been designed as per his wish.
Roshan Regmi, Marketing Manager of Yeti Airlines, told journalists that the company gives high importance to corporate social responsibility, as part of which it came forward to give Nau a whole new experience in life.
Master who is 16 inches and weighs 18 kg said his last wish now was to wear a digital watch. The watch will be gifted to him by Yeti Airlines on his departure to Bhairahawa tomorrow.
The initiative comes less than a 3 days after they had provided 18 orphans from Bal Mandir with a free Mountain Flight to see Mount. Everest.
